Effect of thyroid gland dysfunction on menstrual pattern among reproductive age group women

Background: Thyroid hormones play an important role in the body. As a result, any imbalance these can affect all physiological and metabolic functions of body, including health reproductive system. Objectives: Assessing menstrual pattern investigating differences effect thyroid gland dysfunction on between case control. Methodology: A descriptive (case-control) study implemented for 100 women 15-45 years age group, from two hospitals Salah Al-Din Governorate/Iraq. The conducted period (31th October 2021 to 2th August 2022) included obtaining blood sample TSH, fT3 fT4 tests 50 with disorders control group. Results: finding shows highest percentage, group (74%) had abnormal cycle, most types abnormalities were menorrhagia (32%), oligomenorrhea (18%), polymenorrhea (10%), compared (82%) having normal cycle.
